Robert is an Anglican priest. He is Team Vicar of two churches in the Buckinghamshire countryside, Cheddington and Mentmore.

Robert's hobbies include photography, ham radio, music and cycling, as well as the shared interest in travel. He uses a Nikon D300 with 10 - 20mm Sigma ultra wide angle zoom; 18 - 70mm Nikon zoom; and 70 - 300mm Nikon zoom lenses. He also carries a Panasonic digital compact and a Garmin GPS60csx when walking.
