Work, interests, hobbies and travel

• Vicky is a human resources specialist. She is Past President of the Management Consultancies Association of Great Britain. From 2006 - 2010 Vicky was President of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and is now past-president. Vicky is also a trustee and Deputy Chairman of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. She also heads up the Resources Committee.
• In 2011 Vicky retired from full-time employment, but is as busy as ever. She is a director of the General Practitioners Defence Fund and is on the remuneration committee of Newcastle University. Vicky is an associate fellow of the Judge Business School in Cambridge and visiting professor at Middlesex Business School.

• Vicky's hobbies include travel, photography, reading and craft work. She produces designer knitwear, counted cross stitch, and quilting. She also enjoys mountain biking, which she has done since 1984.
